The Colors of Cancer
In this gallery I am depicting the colors of various cancers. We are all familiar with pink for breast cancer but did you know that testicular cancer is orchid? After my husband was diagnosed with myeloma it came to me that creating small works using my own cotton scraps would be a good project for me as a caregiver. All of the squares are mounted on 6 inch professional gallery wrapped canvas that is 1 1/2 inches thick. Sorting the hand dyed cotton pieces with a few printed fabrics thrown into the mix was a bit tedious but the results were very satisfying. All of the squares have a little bit of red as part of the composition representing life and hope.
