The “PAGES” Series is based on surface design techniques. All the fabrics started as white or black cotton material and then were created using one specific thermo fax screen as the motif throughout. This screen is used to print the image using thickened dye for color or to take the color away by printing with a discharge agent.
I continue to be intrigued by the role the quilting stitches play in adding interest and texture to each piece.
